How it works

From artwork to a tank listing photo

01

Bring your artwork in

PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. Vertical and compact designs fit here; a wide chest lockup will have to shrink.

02

Choose the tank

Black, white, navy, heather grey, red and sand. Summer and gym merch lives in black, white and heather.

03

Export the PNG

A clean 1x PNG with no watermark, ready for a summer drop, a gym store or a festival listing.

Tanks included

Six cotton tank tops

Black, white, navy, heather grey, red and sand, each laid flat from above with the straps and armholes clearly in frame. The design sits on the front panel — a narrow, slightly portrait area between the straps.

Six colors, one flat-lay angle. Generic blanks generated in-house rather than a supplier's garment photo, so verify the usable width on your printer's template before scaling a design up.

Before you print

The narrowest garment in the set

A tank is a t-shirt with the shoulders and sides cut away. Everything that follows from that is about width.

Narrower than any other garment here

The tank's front panel is the narrowest apparel area in this tool — noticeably tighter than a tee's. A chest graphic sized for a t-shirt does not simply transfer; it either gets scaled down until the detail disappears or gets cropped by the armholes.

Deep armholes curve into your design

Tank armholes are cut low and scooped. A wide design placed at chest height runs into that curve on both sides, and the edge of the print ends up following the arm hole rather than sitting square. Vertical compositions avoid the problem entirely.

Lightweight jersey, and it moves

Tanks are thin summer jersey with a soft drape, so a large solid ink area stiffens a noticeably larger share of the garment than it would on a heavier tee. Buyers notice that on a tank. Open designs with breathing room in them feel better to wear and photograph better on a hanger.

FAQ

Tank top mockup questions

Is the tank top mockup generator free?

Yes — 1200px PNGs and a batch .zip of all six tanks, no watermark, no account, no email wall. HD at 2048px is a single one-time unlock and doesn't limit the free tier.

Can I reuse my t-shirt design on a tank?

Not at the same size. The tank's front panel is the narrowest garment area in this tool, so a full-width tee graphic gets cropped by the armholes or shrunk until the detail is lost. Redraw it narrower, or pick a vertical version.

What design shape works best on a tank?

Vertical or compact. The panel between the straps is tall relative to its width, and the deep armholes curve inward at chest height, so tall stacked type and slim illustrations sit cleanly where wide lockups fight the cut.

Does a big solid print feel wrong on a tank?

It can. Tanks are thin summer jersey, and a heavy block of ink stiffens a proportionally larger part of a small, light garment. Designs with open space in them stay soft, drape properly and photograph better on a hanger.

Can I use these tank mockups in my store?

Yes — listings, ads, lookbooks and client work, commercially and without attribution. The blank tank templates themselves can't be redistributed as stock or inside a competing generator. The image license covers the detail.
