Free Mockup Generator for Printify
Printify routes your orders to a network of independent print providers, so the same product can differ by who fulfils it — and you're the one supplying the listing photo.
Mockups you'll actually list with
The provider network is the whole story
Printify's structure — a marketplace of print providers rather than a single factory — is what separates it from every other option on this list.
The same product, different factories
Pick a t-shirt on Printify and you'll be offered several providers for it, with different base prices, locations, turnaround times and colour ranges. Your product isn't fully specified until you've chosen one, and switching provider later can change what your design looks like.
Templates vary by provider
Print area and file requirements are set per provider, not per product type. A file built for one provider's template is not guaranteed to sit correctly on another's, which is a real risk if you swap providers to save on base cost.
Samples are the only real proof
Colour rendering and print placement differ between providers running the same catalogue item. Ordering a sample from the exact provider you've selected is the only way to know what your customer will receive — mockups, including these, show placement rather than production output.
Working a Printify-backed store
Export the listing image
Your store shows the photos you attach. Generate the full colour set here and use them as variant images.
Check the provider, not just the product
Printify lists several providers per product, each with their own template and colour range. Pick one before you build the file.
Order a sample
Because providers differ, a sample from the specific provider you selected is the only reliable proof of colour and placement.
Printify mockups FAQ
Can these be my product photos?
Yes. With Printify you own the storefront, so the listing images are yours to supply. Export the full colour set and attach them as variant images on your Etsy, Shopify or WooCommerce listings.
Why does the print provider matter?
Because Printify offers several providers for the same product, each with their own base price, location, turnaround and colour range. Until you pick one, the product isn't fully specified — and providers don't all share a template.
Do I need to order a sample?
It's the only reliable check. Colour and placement differ between providers running the same item, so a sample from the specific provider you selected tells you what customers actually get. A mockup shows placement, not production output.
Where do print specs come from?
From your chosen provider's template inside Printify, not from this tool. Print area and file requirements are set per provider, so build the production file against theirs.
