How it works

From artwork to a tote listing photo

01

Bring your artwork in

PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG, loaded straight into the page. Line-art and single-colour marks are what canvas handles best.

02

Choose the tote

Six canvas colors. Natural ecru is the default bookshop tote; black and forest give a screen-printed white mark somewhere to sit.

03

Export the PNG

A clean 1x PNG, no watermark, ready to drop straight into a marketplace listing or a market-stall flyer.

Totes included

Six cotton canvas totes

Natural, black, navy, sand, forest and white, each shot flat with both handles in frame. Your design lands on the front panel — the roughly square area between the handle stitching and the base of the bag.

Six colors, one flat front view. These are generic canvas totes generated in-house rather than a photo of a specific supplier's bag, so treat the placement as indicative and confirm against your printer's template.

Before you print

What canvas does to a design

A tote is a piece of unfinished woven cotton that gets folded, stuffed and carried. It is the least forgiving flat surface in this set.

The front panel is nearly square

The tote's design area in this tool is close to square — wider than an apron bib, far narrower than a mousepad. Landscape lockups and tall stacked type both fit, which is why totes end up carrying the widest range of designs of anything here.

Weave breaks gradients

Canvas is a coarse, visible weave. Screen printing lays flat spot colour on it beautifully; smooth gradients, soft drop shadows and photographic imagery band and speckle because the ink can only land on the raised threads. Flat colour and bold line-art are the safe choices.

It gets folded, and it creases

Totes ship folded and live crumpled in a bag. A design that runs edge to edge across the panel will crease through its middle in every customer photo. Keeping the mark central with generous margin is what makes tote merch still look sharp after a month of use.

FAQ

Tote bag mockup questions

Is the tote bag mockup generator free?

Yes — a 1200px PNG per tote and a .zip of all six, no watermark, no signup, no email wall. HD at 2048px is a single one-time unlock rather than a subscription, and it doesn't restrict anything about the free export.

Where does the design sit on the tote?

On the front panel between the handles. You can move, scale and rotate within that area. The handles, gussets and base are left alone — printing across a handle seam isn't something a screen press can do cleanly anyway.

Which tote color should I list first?

Natural ecru is the one shoppers picture when they think 'canvas tote', so it's usually the lead listing image. Black and navy are worth a second image if your design is a single light colour, because contrast is what sells the thumbnail.

Are these photos of a real tote bag?

They're photoreal blanks made in-house for this tool rather than photographs of a named supplier's bag. Generic is useful — the mockup works whoever prints for you — but check the print area against your own supplier's template before production.

Can I use these tote mockups in my shop?

Yes, commercially and without attribution: listings, ads, catalogues, client presentations. The one restriction is that you can't redistribute the blank tote templates themselves as stock or as a competing generator. The image license spells it out.
